Foxwoods, New Hampshire Motor Speedway Extend Partnership For Another Year

New Hampshire NASCAR fans will get to hear the roars of engines in their own backyards for at least another year. The New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Foxwoods Resort Casino have extended their partnership through the 2021 season.

That means next summer, fans should be able to wager on the races as they’re watching them in person.

Details on the extended Foxwoods speedway sponsorship

Again in 2021, Foxwoods Resort Casino will be the title sponsor of a NASCAR Cup Series race at the speedway. That security means NASCAR bettors in New Hampshire will continue to get a front-row seat to the event.

David McGrath, executive vice president and general manager of New Hampshire Motor Speedway, said in a release,

“From the start, we knew that teaming up with an established northeast destination partner would be a win-win, and we certainly hit the jackpot in affiliating with Foxwoods Casino Resort. We are extremely proud to announce an extension of that partnership today and look forward to working together to build on the legacy of two-storied New England travel destinations.”

Foxwoods Resort Casino, located in Ledyard, CT, started sponsoring the race in 2018. This year’s iteration, won by Brad Keselowski, was the 22nd edition.

The speedway, located in Loudon, NH, opened in 1990. It started running Busch Series races that July. In 2008, Speedway Motorsports purchased the property and gave it the current name.

In addition to the NASCAR Cup Series race, it’s also the site of NASCAR Xfinity Series and Whelen Modified Tour events. Foxwoods’ interest is merely in the Cup Series race that bears its name, however.

That means again next summer, the eyes of the NASCAR betting world will be fixed on Loudon. Foxwoods doesn’t mind the attention. Actually, that’s the whole idea.

You have to spend money to make money

For a casino like Foxwoods, this partnership is all about getting eyes on the brand. It’s a good fit for the casino because, like a NASCAR race, Foxwoods wants to deliver thrills.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer fans more of what they’ve come to know and love about the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 tradition,”  said Jason Guyot, Foxwoods Resort Casino’s SVP of resort operations and interim CEO in a news release. “We’re thankful for our partnership with NHMS and are ready to keep delivering fun, fan-driven experiences.”

For New Hampshirites, the excitement extends beyond the track to their phones. Betting on NASCAR events is legal in the state. It’s also readily available online through DraftKings.

For example, bettors in New Hampshire can get in on markets on this weekend’s Firekeepers Casino 400. DraftKings has Keselowski +750 to make it two wins in two consecutive weekends.

Just as the Foxwoods speedway sponsorship is an investment the casino hopes to see a return on, NASCAR wagering markets are a way to multiply the excitement for racing fans.

New Hampshire NASCAR fans have already won with the knowledge that another Cup Series race will come to Loudon in 2021.
